In 2006, I begun working in communities. Then, working with Hotsun films in Kibera as a writer. This has ushered over 10 years in communication and development.
Today, as the Kenya’s Representative to AYDEC (Africa Youth Development Commission), I am leading a team of 20 young people into the Pan-African dream of uniting the continental youth towards the fulfilment of the SDGs. In the same capacity, I sit in the continental board as the publicity secretary for AYDEC.
Until late last year I worked on an FAO project, highlighting matters of gender along the wood & charcoal value chain in Kenya. Adding up to my previous engagement on speaking on matters of Women, on my women’s talk show on KBC.
Equally, I have had numerous years as an entrepreneur, running Dream Tribe, empowering emerging entrepreneurs through; Training, Team building & Collaborations, and Capacity Building & Fundraising. Through this I have supported TEDxKibera, as well as Mr. & Miss Good will, which are both for the for the purpose of empowering both communities and individuals. Recently I have been a facilitator at; Academy For Women Entrepreneurs, a USAID funded project that seeks to empower Women in Business. Other Projects include: Balasi Dance group, Sanaa post, Street Film Mathare, LAMUKANI and YALI Nairobi, Talent TV as a Project and communication manager.
