Legit Kenya Online Jobs to Work From Home

Online jobs have become a source of income for many, from college students to graduates. Many people find working in offices tiresome and shift to making money from home. Some even quit their jobs to work online. Although some of the online jobs have been found out to be scams, still there are several that are genuinely and well paying.

Let’s look at some of the well paying online jobs;

1. Freelance writing.

A freelance online writer is a writer who performs online tasks on a self-employed basis. They can work on a single magazine or, more frequently, they can write for a variety of publications at a time. Freelance writing has several benefits as the writers have the freedom to choose who they work for, do not have to engage in a daily commute and can tailor their work environment to their own needs.

Freelancers can also take holidays without having to work around colleagues. Freelancers are paid depending on what he is writing and who he is working for. This makes the payment to vary greatly. For example, £20 per tip in a regional newspaper and £1000 and over for a page lead in a tabloid.

2. Niche blogging.

It usually contains affiliate links or advertisements of some sort (pay-per-click or products). In some cases, the purpose of a niche blog is to invite the reader into visiting another website which may then attempt to sell the reader a product or service.

3. Transcriptionist

A transcriptionist is basically a documentation specialist who listens to voice recordings and converts them into written reports. Apart from having strong computer skills, a transcriptionist should also possess a keen eye towards accuracy and a commitment to always deliver a quality written record to each client.

Transcriptionists transcribe audio recordings by listening to the people speaking, the author’s intended meaning, the clarity of recording (background noise) and the clarity of the speaking voices (accents and mumbling). According to researchers, a professional transcriptionist should type at least 60 words per minute without errors. If you are a committed and skilled transcriptionist, then you can easily make Kes 2500 per hour or more, depending on how many hours you put in.

Moreover, the exact amount you earn as a transcriptionist will depend on the company you are working for and, your speed and skill level. Transcriptionists who specialize in technical niches such as legal and medical fields can make an even higher wage per hour. US researchers say that most legal transcriptionists earn between $20,000 and $60,000 per year whereas medical transcriptionists earn $334,800 per year.

4. Virtual assistant.

Virtual assistants mostly perform administrative tasks and can work from home just like other online workers. Clients pay for 100% productive work and can work with virtual assistants, individually, or multi-virtual assistant firms to meet their exact needs. Virtual assistants earn from $10/hour to $20/hour.

5. Virtual Recruiters.

Virtual recruiters run online face-to-face interviews by Skype, Google hangouts, Facebook and other platforms to pre-select candidates just before handing one of the final shortlists. Most companies hire a virtual recruiter to pre-select candidates.

Many of the occupation profiles to which virtual recruiters use are online and technology-related including social media supervisor, marketing sales executive, customer service, and earnings and business development.

6. PowerPoint presentation designer.

PowerPoint presentation is a typical presentation but these ones are created using Microsoft PowerPoint software. The presentations are a collection of individual slides that usually contain information on a topic. A presentation designer works with a business to design a presentation in PowerPoint or another program in order to highlight a particular product or service.

It has different payment models, for example, the hourly rate for PowerPoint presentation specialist can be around $50/hour or $80/hour. Other agencies and studios may quote a PowerPoint presentation based on the number of slides and the copy required.

7. Genealogist.

Genealogists are professionals who study family lineages in historical and genetic contexts. This area is slightly research-intensive and mostly involves looking into family records, photographs, and letters, public documents, census data and scores of databases that track people through their activities as well as accomplishments on international, national or even local levels.

Nearly all genealogists are self-employed. Genealogists charge hourly rates and bills for out-of-pocket expenses. The hourly fees for genealogists are about $22-$25 per hour, with certified genealogists charging the higher rate. This is according to research.

Not all online jobs are well paying. The above jobs are a list of the best paying online jobs so far. Many people, college students being the higher percentage, look for several ways of earning for their personal expenses which lead many into gambling. Here is the solution, join any of the jobs above, depending on your area of interest and specialization and be sure of never lacking some cash in your pocket.

For college students, I would recommend jobs like article writing, freelance writing and project designing as these will convenience you when it comes to balancing your studies and work.

This is something we are seriously thinking about how we can help showcase such abilities/capabilities to the rest of the world. You will be able to find it here when we have such functionality that helps showcase your abilities and connecting you to the interested parties through this platform. Meanwhile, feel free to showcase it to various platforms such as these and social media. If you’re really good someone will eventually identify the talent. If it’s real talent don’t be afraid of getting it out there for everyone to see it.

Hello. Depends on a couple of factors. How you write your bids to convince the prospective employer that you actually qualify. Do you have samples, for instance, to show off for your work? Do you have a complete profile? Is your portfolio complete? These are some of the areas you’d want to focus on to get employer attention. Otherwise, it’s the sole discretion of the employer to choose who they want to work with. Yours is to send as many bids as you can, you could get picked. ~DN
